Why are we just sitting
When we can make a difference?
The unloved are crying,
The broken and unheard.
When we have so much,
Why can't we give? It's not so hard.
The injured children, hopeless and afraid.
The broken women, nowhere to go.
The poor and desolate, cold on the streets.
They need us,
They're crying out to us.
Are we deaf?
No, we can hear the cries,
They cannot be ignored.
But, we can be an answer to a prayer.
A hand to hold,
To our brothers and our sisters.
Soon, it could be us.
