So. I've decided that I reeeally like going to school (homeschoolers reading this... don't hate on me!) and am most likely going in the fall. SO, I'm faced with the important decision. School ring? Or no school ring? What a dilemma! In one way, it'd be reeally cool and I want one. On the other hand, I dunno if I wanna go to the dance. In that same hand... How on earth am I gonna pay for it?? And speaking of it... how much is it, even?
*Sigh* Decisions. Decisions.

Fearless
I won't be afraid,
I can handle the world.
No force of nature
Will stop this girl.
Fear is not an option,
The feeling soon will pass.
But overcoming something great
Leaves a feeling that will last.
Love is what fuels me
And faith and hope and joy.
It's the little things in life
That become something more.
Don't try to stop me
'Cause you know that it won't work.
Don't dare to stop this lightning bolt,
This fearless Supergirl.
Love
Don't love me 'cause I'm pretty,
Don't love me 'cause I'm smart.
Don't love me 'cause you think my eyes are a work of art.
Don't love me for my smile.
Don't love me for my laugh.
Don't love me for my love of books
Or my hate of biology and math.
Don't love me for my sarcasm,
My wit, humor and pride.
Love me for the important things, like who I am inside.
Don't love me for who I was,
Or who I'm going to be,
I simply ask you, darling, that you love me for me.
Dreamer
I've always been a romantic,
A lover of fairy tales,
Dreaming of my prince who'd come
On a ship with blowing sails.
As I stood in my tower,
Oh so lonely and sad,
I'd stare out some window
Wishing I'd feel glad.
And, then, I'd see him!
On a horse majestic white.
And he'd collect me in his arms
And we rode in the night.
Yes, I am a dreamer.
No, I'm not ashamed.
These stories, they inspire me
To become someone.
I know I'm not a princess,
I'm just your average girl.
But, one day, this I promise you,
I will light up someone's world.
Hello?
Why are we just sitting
When we can make a difference?
The unloved are crying,
The broken and unheard.
When we have so much,
Why can't we give? It's not so hard.
The injured children, hopeless and afraid.
The broken women, nowhere to go.
The poor and desolate, cold on the streets.
They need us,
They're crying out to us.
Are we deaf?
No, we can hear the cries,
They cannot be ignored.
But, we can be an answer to a prayer.
A hand to hold,
A friend,
To our brothers and our sisters.
Soon, it could be us.
What is this feeling?
What is this feeling? It is so rare.
It comes once and a while,
But, now I think it's here to stay.
My stomach is churning, tingling and weird.
I'm not afraid of the future,
Now it excites me.
I feel unstoppable, beautiful, great,
Instead of lost, small and dull.
In the mirror I see a girl, glowing with life.
Her eyes are shining, there's a smile tugging at her lips.
Not afraid of anything, She is fearless.
Is it confidence? This strange feeling?
The one that's turned my world upside down?
This strange, unknown emotion
That made me find myself.
Secret
There are some things you don't know about me,
The things I keep hidden, that you never see.
The burden and weight of the tears that I cry,
All the times that I want to just say goodbye.
You don't know the feeling of worthlessness or despair.
The will to live is gone and you just don't care.
To feel like everyone you love is lying to you.
To want to take away your own precious gift.
To take your own life, convinced you won't be missed.
Unimaginable
A face that is sad
Angry and mad,
Furrowed brow
And an unhappy frown.
What can it be,
This woman we see,
That's causing her such distress?
A death in the family,
A family that's starving?
Or maybe a house that burnt down?
To see such a face that pulls at your heart,
It must be unimaginable
To understand what has happened to her.
We see not her thoughts,
We see only a face
That forces a feeling of empathy.
No, we don't know,
Nor will we ever know,
What has made this woman feel this way.
We can only imagine
The words she would say.
A voice
The pen is a voice
That you don't need to hear.
A whisper or a shout.
Dialogue, or monologue.
A casual conversation
Or an important speech.
An exciting announcement
Or a sorrowful statement.
A confident voice, a shy whisper.
Filled with courage
Or fear.
Said with a smile.
Or not.
First Day
Unsure and confused,
Lost and in doubt.
Should I stay quiet?
Or should I shout?
So many people,
It scares me to death!
I just want to cry
Till no tears are left.
Where is the confidence
I felt so strong?
What is happening?
Everything feels so wrong!
I miss the belief I had in myself,
The laughter and faith,
The love I had for myself
That grew so great!
I guess I must be patient
And just wait and see.
Thekky
I'm so sad,
My persons aren't home.
Gone.
Gone... forever?
So sad.
So sad.
At least my meowing friends are at home.
Maybe they'll play.
Maybe today...
No.
They aren't going to play.
They don't like me.
I don't know why.
I love them!
What?!
What is that?
An intruder?
I will protect my home!
The door is opening,
But I am ready.
A ninja,
A spy.
But, no!
My person!
She came back!
I am jumping for joy!
I AM SO HAPPY!

So. I'm officially at school. It's so weird to go from being homeschooled your whole life to going to public school! Such a different environment, and kinda intimidating, too. 8-O Especially the cafeteria. It's SOO big, and I'm too scared to even get lunch there! I just bring my own! Yeah, I'm a wimpy shrimp. ;)
